  • Atithi/ Guest - Rabrindranath Tagore
  • The Cookie Lady - Philip K Dick
  • There Will Come Soft Rains - Ray Bradbury
  • Indigo - Satyajit Ray
  • The Medicine Bag - Virginia Driving Hawk Sneve
3. Poem section- RHAPSODY: A Collection of ISC Poems (Evergreen Publications (India) Ltd. New Delhi)
  • Telephone Conversation - Wole Soyinka
  • Tithonus - Alfred, Lord Tennyson
  • Beethoven - Shane Koyczan
  • Small Towns and the River - Mamang Dai
  • Death be not Proud - John Donne 

Types of questions: 80 marks total

  • 10 marks: multiple choice questions from all 3. 
    • 10 questions (10*1 marks)
    • 4 from Macbeth, 3 from poem and 3 from prose.
  • 10 marks: finish the statement. (Part of the statement will be given, examinee has to finish the statement) 
    • 10 questions (10*1 marks)
    • 4 from Macbeth, 3 from poem and 3 from prose.
  • 60 marks long answer type questions divided as follows: 20 marks for drama, poem and prose each. 
    • In each section there are two 5 mark questions and one 10 mark question. 
    • 5 mark questions are 100-150 words, 10 mark questions are 200-250 words.
    • The 5 mark questions are both compulsory, but the examinee gets a choice of two 10 mark questions.
